One Eyed Monster - Post 6

Yes, this is Post 6. Post 5 is Auntie Rach and Uncle Scott's Montana wedding. Unfortunately my pictures are at work so that will have to come late -

Cole was a One-Eyed Monster for Halloween. It was escpecially fun given how much he understood. Cole has gotten to be such a big boy and continues to show his independence.
The reason for Cole's costume this year was because several months ago he decided he had a 3rd eye on his forehead. The 3rd eye gets special treatment from time to time - kisses, band-ades, etc. When I saw this costume in a catalog I had to get it and Cole fit the part perfectly. He jumped to wear it any chance he got and practiced his "ROAR".

Post 4? of ? - lol...
Granny probably trying to convince Cole to wear his sunglasses. Cole isn't much for being fussed with or trying new things - even when he's not right and doesn't know what's best. (Cause usually he argues he's right.)
Tough Eric making him take his hat and glasses off and getting his face wet. By the end of the week Eric was the only one that could get Cole to do anything.

Back yard fun - we spent a lot of time in our backyard this year. With the fire and not being able to go anywhere play dates were very frequent and we did what we could do to not go insane.

Luscher Camping Adventure - Post 3 of ?

We had to opportunity to go camping this summer ONCE! I can't believe how quickly the time went by and how busy we were. It was a pretty cold and wet weekend and none of us had enough clothes. The sun in the photos is misleading. It never really warmed up enough to dry us off. Annie was even shivering and snuggled her wet self inside my sleeping bag.
But look at our view from the tent - it was peaceful and beautiful to sleep right on the lake. Cole and Annie had a great time running around. And of course there wasn't a shortage of food!

Annie - you are such a good looking dog!

Pretty sure Cole was watching in disbelief as I cast his fishing rod into the trees.

Cole's 3rd Birthday

Post 2 of ? -
We celebrated Cole's Birthday this year in Santa Fe at the movie theater. Surrounded by our close friends (whom still came admist the fire), we all enjoyed a fun day at Cars 2. It's funny how long ago that was given I was first in line at the grocery store on Tuesday to buy the movie on DVD.
 Cole's traditional breakfast cupcake....
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you...

Cars 2 lunch boxes stuffed with a variety of candy. The kids made their own treat bags for the movie.

A friend of mine made Cole's birthday cake. She likes to practice on me but I think she sell them!
Cole's balance bike - not sure what he's saying or thinking right now  - that was along time ago.

We're Back...

Lol...I am not sure if I should do 1 LARGE post or several small posts and in chronilogical order or newest to oldest. So, here it goes: Post 1 of ? - May 2011
Jake, Clara and Cole and EVERY single one of Cole's toys in the tent. It made for a fun clean up - hah! We tried letting the kids sleep in the tent but finally caved after midnight when they were still playing.

Cousin Clara and Cole...

There is always a bath time photo to share - cuties!

Hungry or Cravings...

Cole never has been a big eater; more of a milk man. Last night may have been a break through although probably was a one time show. He has chicken pasta with Mommy around 5pm and then chips/guac shortly after. Then when Daddy sat down to eat at 7, Cole joined him again. He ate more pasta, 1/2 hard boiled egg, crackers, mac and cheese, corn flakes, and a pickle - in this order. Whatever he suggested we gave him - so either he was starving or didn't know what he wanted. Happens to all of us...I just kept waiting for him to throw up since this is probably more food than he eats in a week. (He did have 2-3 glasses of milk as well.) Hah...

Happy Easter

DJ, Cole and I had a very nice Easter weekend. We started the weekend off by taking Cole to see "Hop". We all enjoyed it! Saturday Cole hung the Easter Bunny key on our front door to ensure he'd be able to get inside. And then left a few big carrots just incase he got hungry hiding all the eggs.

The Easter Bunny has always been very kind to Annie and didn't forget to hide her eggs in the front yard separate from Cole's chocolate eggs. It doesn't take her long to find them all - she's a pro! Yes - that is a hardboild egg!

When Cole noticed what was all over the backyard he was very concerned. He said very seriosuly, "The Easter Bunny did that?" Like why would he have laid all those eggs all over the yard. He plan of attack was to open them all one at a time, run in a crazy pattern (not really even a pattern just all over the place) collecting the ones he wanted and leaving all the hardboiled eggs behind. When his basket was full he told Daddy and Mommy to do it....lol!

A great day - we went to church where 3000 eggs were hidded for the parish children. Each child was allowed 6 eggs including 1 golden egg. The golden eggs contained $1 coins, movie passes or icecream certificates. When it was Cole's turn to hunt, he went straight for the gold ones. He'd pick them up shake them and if no sound was made he'd put it down - ha! So, he ended up with the $1 coin. (Next year we will be able to coach him more.)
